Mr. Brunner co-owned and successfully operated one of the top dairy farms in Shawano County from 1973-1988. He received his B.S.B.A. with honors from Colorado State University (formerly called Colorado A. & M. College) in 1991, majoring in accounting with an emphasis on tax. He received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1993.

Mr. Brunner joined the firm in 1994. He has concentrated on business law, but also practices municipal government, tax, trusts and estates, probate and real estate law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Marathon County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin and the General Practice and Office Management Sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Mr. Brunner has been active as a volunteer for the Performing Arts Foundation, the Boy Scouts, Youth in Government, the Wisconsin Bar Foundation's Mock Trial Program, the Greater Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and The Neighbor's Place.
